I was surprised to read this week that some 30 million adults in the UK do not have a will prepared. The reasons why are wide and varied, from presumptions about the cost to the claim that some individuals simply do not have enough assets to justify it. However, the main reason for not organising our financial affairs in this country is apparently just that people ‘haven’t got round to it yet’! I suppose in some people’s mind it’s not a vital need for today because as we all do, they still hope to have a tomorrow.
